TROY – Frank S. Metro Jr., age 67, of Troy, OH passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2021 at Troy Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1954 in Buffalo, NY to the late Frank S. and Virginia Metro Sr.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 47 years: Cristol (Schutts) Metro; three daughters and sons-in-law: Laura and Ernest Reed II; Kelly and Timothy Hellmann and Nikole and Kevin Harnish; one brother: Michael Metro; two sisters: Deborah Mooney and Janice Theriault; eleven grandchildren: Caleb (Taylor); Zachary; Skyler; Deklan; Jordan; Libby; Leah; Aiden; Luke; Jillian and Lavy and one great grandchild: Olivia.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one brother: David and one sister: Sharon.
Frank spent his career in the restaurant profession including Friendly’s, which is what brought the family to Troy, Sbarro, Uno’s Bar & Grill, and currently employed with Checker’s and Rally’s. He was a member of the Monday night golf league at Miami-Shores in Troy for many years. He enjoyed working in his yard and most especially spending time with his family and his faithful four-legged buddy, Charlie.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to the Miami County Humane Society.
